STEPNPULL – THE FOOT HANDLE
FAQs.
You may have a lot of questions about StepNpull© and how it has fast become the UK’s #1 product in fighting the spread of germs through contact with doors, we have added some of the most common questions we get asked below to help answer them for you.
What is included with my StepNpull© purchase?
Each StepNpull© kit includes the following:
- One StepNpull© Product
- Required mounting screws (so you can install the StepNpull© in a few minutes)
- One sticker for the door.
Where can I find the installation guide?
Is StepNpull© accessible for children and the elderly?
This generally depends on the physical abilities of the person who wishes to use the StepNpull©. Most people can use StepNPull© and you can even open the door using a walking stick. Balance is easily maintained because the StepNPull© is mounted as low as possible on the door. This allows the user to remain balanced and in control.
How does StepNpull© work?
- As you approach the door, position your body as though you were going to use the door handle
- If you would use your left hand to pull the door handle then the left foot will be used. If you would use your right hand to pull the door then the right foot would be used.
- Place your foot on the top of the StepNPull©, press down enough to gain traction.
- Pull your foot and leg back as though you were taking a step. Simply step and pull.
- Typically enough door momentum will be gained to actually swing the door open and out of your way.
- Depending on your shoe type, you may want to try different shoe angles or positions in order to find the one that yields the most grip.
How securely fitted is the StepNpull© ?
The StepNpull© is very strong. It’s made from sturdy T6 aluminium. Each bracket comes standard with 2 number 12 mounting screws and Stainless Steel sexed bolt that goes through the door.
Does StepNpull© come with any warranty?
Yes. StepNpull© comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Will I loose my balance using StepNpull© ?
Balance is easily maintained because the StepNpull© is mounted as low as possible on the door. This allows the user to remain balanced and in control because the product is L shaped it allows a secure and durable install close to the floor. Our product has been tried and tested for 13 years by all size of companies and has proved itself to be robust and safe to use.
How long has StepNpull© been on the market for?
Our product is tested & safe. Proven by 13 years of business and companies of all sizes using it.
What happens if someone is coming in the opposite direction?
This would be the same as when you have always used a door, the user should be standing to the side of the door and not completely behind it, you have never stood and opened the door into yourself, you stand to the side. The same can be said when using StepNpull© The Foot Handle For ADA compliant toilets there should be space to the side of the door allowing the user to use the door.
How does StepNpull© compare to other similar products on the market?
The product is “L” shaped with a serrated edge for easy grip and it allows a secure and durable install close to the floor.
When using, your foot doesn’t come far off of the ground because it is recommended to be installed at the lowest possible portion of the door (given that the door is hung correctly and the floor beneath isn’t severely warped preventing the product to be used effectively, this isn’t an issue that StepNpull© would be able to resolve but a structural/ADA compliance problem)
Some Competitors products force you to use your foot underneath a piece and pull back up creating a balance problem, this is also a harder product to use as it requires more strength.
Other products have reversed the design where the “L” shape is flipped. This creates more space between the foot and floor potentially raising balance issues. This can also cause damage to the shoe and foot and potentially trapping the foot while the door is in use.
The door I want to install StepNpull© on is very heavy so how will it open using just my foot?
The weight of the commercial door is not a factor but rather the amount of resistance the door closer provides. The door closer is the device mounted at the top of the door and is responsible for controlling how much effort is required to open the door. This is easily adjusted to make the door accessible and therefore the StepNpull can be used easily with commercial and fire doors.
I have glass doors in my offices, will StepNpull© still work?
We have launched a product especially for fitting to glass doors which uses weight-resistant resin to ensure the application is safely attached to glass and other non-screwable surfaces with no compromise on fixation.
